NOTE: This article applies to Dolphin MX boards (MXP908/MXH930) and software.
If you ordered the optional cabled PCIe hardware with your recording system there will be a Dolphin PCI Express board (MXH-930) included in your shipment. After installing this board into an open PCI Express slot on your system you will also need to install the Dolphin software. A download link for the installer was provided as part of the shipment of your system. The installer has a name starting with "Dolphin_eXpressWare". This installer should be run as an administrator on your system. Be sure to uninstall any existing Dolphin software versions prior to running this installer. Also note that if a previous version was installed the system should be restarted after uninstalling and prior to installing the new version.
Accept the defaults on all windows, including the setup Type: "Cluster Node" and complete the installation. Complete documentation is available on the Dolphin ICS website.
After connecting the PCIe cable between the recording system and your system run the "dis_diag" application in the "Dolphin Express Mx" menu for verification of a successful installation. Note that the cable should be inserted into the top receptacle on both the MXP908 board in the recording system and the top port in the MXH930 board in your system. Note that StreamStor recording systems are usually configured with a node id 8, the host is expected to be configured as node id 4. The output of the "dis_diag" application will display the assigned node id.
In some case it is necessary to disable the "Secure Boot" and "VT-d" (sometimes also called Intel Virtualization Technology) options in your BIOS.
